Closed beta

Connect what you know with who you know.

And put it into the Rucksack.

After a conversation, talk for half a minute. Rucksack turns what you said into facts about the people in it — and every fact links back to your recording.

How it works

Thirty seconds after the conversation

  1. Say what mattered

Open Rucksack on your phone and talk: who you met, what they told you, what comes next. Or type, if you can’t talk right now.

  2. It sorts it by person

Rucksack transcribes the note, recognises the people, places and organisations in it, and files each fact under the right one.

  3. It’s there next time

Before you meet again, open their page. Every fact links back to the recording it came from.

What’s different

Three things it takes seriously

Your filter is the feature

Rucksack doesn’t record your meetings. You say what was worth keeping, so what it stores is signal — not an hour of small talk.

It asks instead of guessing

When a name could mean two people, Rucksack asks which one you meant and remembers the answer. A fact filed under the wrong person is worse than no fact.

Every fact has a source

Tap a fact and play the recording it came from. You can always check what you actually said.

Honest status

Where Rucksack is today

Rucksack is a closed beta. Right now its only user is its founder; a small group of invited testers is next. This is what it does today — and what it doesn’t do yet.

Works today

  • Speak or type a note, up to five minutes
  • German and English, detected automatically
  • Recording without signal — it uploads later
  • People, places and organisations, with the facts about them
  • A question when a name is ambiguous
  • The recording behind every fact
  • Search across people, notes and facts
  • Installs to your iPhone home screen from the browser

Not yet

  • Reminders
  • Relationships between people
  • Contact import or integrations
  • Sharing or teams
  • Native apps
  • Paid plans — there is nothing to pay

What the beta includes, and what it will cost

Who it’s for

For people whose work runs on relationships

If what you know about people is part of how you work — clients, candidates, investors, collaborators — and it lives in your head or in notes you never quite write, Rucksack is built for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is Rucksack?

A personal CRM you talk to. After a conversation you speak for half a minute, and Rucksack files what mattered under the people you mentioned, with the recording behind every fact.

Is it a meeting recorder?

No. You talk to Rucksack after a conversation, not during it, and say what was worth keeping.

What does Rucksack cost?

Nothing during the closed beta, and there is no way to pay yet. Afterwards the plan is that Rucksack stays free to use and you pay a fee for usage. The details are not set.

Which languages does Rucksack understand?

You can speak German or English, and the language is detected automatically. The app interface is in English.

How do I get access?

Join the waitlist. Invitations go out in small groups, and we can’t promise a date.
